Epoxy Powder-Coated Steel Bar Spraying

A technology applying a protective epoxy powder coating to steel bars, enhancing corrosion resistance, insulation, and mechanical properties. Extensively used in:
Construction: Civil buildings (homes, offices) & hydraulic structures (dams, water tanks) for durability in wet environments.
Transportation: Bridges & highway tunnels to resist rain, salt spray, and humidity.
Industry: Chemical plants & sewage treatment facilities to withstand corrosive chemicals/gases.

Production Process

1. Upload products: Steel bars are positioned on the automatic production line for smooth transfer.
2. Shot Blasting: High-speed steel shot removes rust, scale, and contaminants, achieving Sa2.5 cleanliness and a 40-75μm surface profile for adhesion. Steel shot is replenished as needed.

3. Heating: Medium-frequency induction rapidly heats bars to 150-220°C, with precise temperature control adjusted for bar size.

4. Powder Spraying: Electrostatic spray applies epoxy powder (200-500μm thick) to the heated bars. Spray parameters and a clean environment are maintained.

5. Cooling:
Natural Cooling: Initial slow cooling to prevent cracking.
Water Quenching: Controlled water spray rapidly cools the bars.
Drying: Fans remove moisture and cool to near room temperature.

6. Quality Check: Coating appearance (smooth, defect-free), Thickness (using magnetic gauge), Adhesion (e.g., cross-cut, pull-off tests), Optional performance tests (corrosion, impact, abrasion resistance).
7. Downloading & Packaging: Qualified bars are unloaded and packaged(plastic wrap/bags, supports).
