GA03 Automatic Powder Coating Spray Gun
GA03 gun is used for electrostatic coating of objects connectable to ground with organic powders in conjunction with the control units and corresponding accessories.
The Automatic gun type OptiGun GA03 is suited for the electrostatic coating of objects (in all shapes and geometries).
High voltage generation
The control unit supplies a high-frequency low voltage signal of approx.
10 V eff. This voltage is fed through the gun cable to the high voltage cascade in the gun shaft.
In the high voltage cascade, the low voltage is high-transformed in a first step. This primary high voltage is subsequently rectified and multiplied in the high voltage cascade in a second step, until the
required high voltage is obtained at the end (approx. 100 kV). The high voltage is now fed to the electrode within the spray nozzle.
Circuit
In addition to the modulated low voltage needed for high voltage generation, there are signal lines fed trough the gun cable. The control signals are used for monitoring gun trigger status and gun remote control functions.
The gun is released by a touch-free switch, which is operated by a magnet in the trigger. The gun control unit switches on the modulated low voltage, the powder transport and the rinsing air.
Powder flow and electrode rinsing air
The electrode rinsing air is used by vented spray nozzles and is connected with its designated connection on the rear side of the gun control unit.

Q1: What is powder coating?
A1: Powder coating is a dry finishing process that uses finely ground particles of pigment and resin. These particles are electrostatically charged and sprayed onto a surface, where they adhere and are then cured under heat to form a hard, durable finish.
Q2: What are the advantages of powder coating over traditional liquid coatings?
A2: Powder coating offers several advantages, including better durability, higher resistance to chipping, scratching, and fading, less environmental impact as it produces less volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and more efficient application as overspray can be recycled.
Q3: What types of surfaces can be powder coated?
A3: Powder coating can be applied to a wide range of surfaces, including metal (such as steel, aluminum, and zinc), wood, MDF (medium-density fiberboard), and some plastics, provided they are properly pre-treated.
Q4: What colors are available for powder coating?
A4: We offer a vast range of colors, including standard colors like black, white, red, blue, and green, as well as custom color matching to meet your specific requirements.
Q5: What are the thickness options for powder coating?
A5: The typical thickness range for powder coating is between 60 - 100 microns, but we can adjust the thickness based on your project needs and application requirements.
Q6: How long does the powder coating last?
A6: With proper surface preparation and application, powder coating can last for 10 - 20 years or more, depending on the environment and usage conditions.
Q7: How is powder coating applied?
A7: Powder coating is typically applied using an electrostatic spray gun. The charged powder particles are attracted to the grounded surface and form a uniform coating. After spraying, the coated item is cured in an oven at a specific temperature and time to ensure proper adhesion and curing.
Q8: Do I need to prepare the surface before powder coating?
A8: Yes, surface preparation is crucial for a successful powder coating application. This usually involves cleaning, degreasing, and sometimes sandblasting or chemical pretreatment to remove contaminants and improve adhesion.
Q9: Can I install powder coated products myself?
A9: Installation depends on the specific product. Some products may be easy to install with basic tools and skills, while for more complex or large-scale installations, it is recommended to seek professional assistance to ensure proper installation and longevity of the coating.
Q10: How is the price of powder coating products determined?
A10: The price of powder coating products depends on factors such as the size and complexity of the item to be coated, the color and type of powder used, the quantity of the order, and the level of surface preparation required. Please contact us with your specific requirements for a detailed quote.
Q11: What kind of after-sales service do you offer?
A13: We offer comprehensive after-sales service, including quality assurance, technical support, and assistance with any issues or concerns you may have after receiving the products. We stand behind the quality of our powder coating products and are committed to your satisfaction.
Q12: What if I receive a defective or damaged product?
A14: If you receive a defective or damaged product, please contact us immediately. We will assess the situation and either replace the product or provide a refund, depending on the circumstances and our quality control policies.
